ARLINGTON, Texas -- Catcher Geovany Soto and the Texas Rangers have agreed to a $3.05 million, one-year contract, a raise of $300,000. Texas acquired Soto in a trade from the Chicago Cubs in July 2012. He was the NL Rookie of the Year in 2008, when he hit .285 with 23 homers for the Cubs. Soto hit .245 with nine home runs and 22 RBIs in 54 games this season, then became a free agent. While he was a backup to A.J.
