Scotts birdie try missed and trickled four feet past the cup. He missed the short par putt, but Chalmers did not. Chalmers rolled in his 3-footer for par and the win. This was his second Australian Open Championship title and his fifth victory overall on the PGA Tour Australasia. Michael Hendry closed with a 1-under 71 and he finished alone in fourth at minus-9.
